Hi, I’m Lara! 

If you are a fan of all things healthy desserts, gluten-free & plant-based recipes, travel guides, and fitness guides, then you have come to the right place!

I’m currently a senior at Boston University double majoring in English and French Studies. Even though I’m not studying dietetics (although I wish I did!), I am passionate about creating healthy dishes and desserts that will satisfy any sweet tooth!

I started my blog in the form of an Instagram account when I was in middle school after a friend introduced me to Tone It Up. I had just been diagnosed with celiac disease after being sick with the H. pylori bacteria for about three months. I wanted to learn how to eat healthier so that I could manage my symptoms and feel better. Tone It Up is a health and fitness company dedicated to eating real food and moving your body! TIU prides themselves on their community, “check-in’s,” and helping one another, so I decided to create an Instagram account to join the supportive network of girls and hold myself accountable. This is how @naturallylara started! I started working out more, and I began eating a mostly plant-based diet and eventually lost around fifty pounds.

I have learned to love cooking and baking and have found that making my own foods at home, and avoiding packaged food, is the best way to avoid getting sick by cross-contamination of gluten. 

I love creating new recipes every day, and I am so excited to share them with all of you on this blog!
