Day 30 & 31 of March MATness: seal and push-ups! Can’t believe it’s the last day of March MATness! For seal, balance behind your sitz bones with feet in pilates stance, wrap your hands inside and around your ankles. Open and close from your inner thighs for three counts, roll back with control and complete three taps again before rolling back up to balance. Keep scooping your abs in and up throughout the exercise. For push ups, start by standing tall and imagine diving over a beach ball. Walk out into your plank position and complete three pilates push ups elbows by your sides (option to come down to knees). Walk back up to standing. Reach up to the sky and over to stretch your side body, come back to center into a T with your arms, and then place your elbow on the floor and reach up and over on the other side. Repeat for three counts on either side! While keeping your hips still lift each leg up to your point of control and lengthen leg to lower it down on the mat and then switch sides. March MATness day 26 & 27: swimming prep and leg pull front support with leg lifts! For swimming prep, lie on stomach and extend your arms and legs long. Reach and lift your opposite arm and leg, keep you head long with your nose facing mat and keep pulling your abs in and up. For leg pull front support, come into a plank position and make a nice long line from your head to your toes, lift each leg in your plank position and you can do many variations with this one!
