This place is an absolute dream for anyone who is gluten-free and vegan. They have plant-based and gluten-free coconut milk ice cream, ice cream cookie sandwiches, deliciously gooey brownies, and magic bars, which are just pure magic. While you’re there, you can grab a cappuccino and catch up on your work, all while munching on the most indulgent plant-based treats. They have four locations throughout Boston: Fenway, Allston, Jamaica Plain, and the South End. This place is a MUST if you are in the area!
2. Pressed Juicery ice cream

If you are an ice cream/gelato person, I highly recommend heading to Newberry street to try a Pressed Juicery Freeze. It is a delicious plant-based, gluten-free, and refined-sugar free option. They are made with natural ingredients like dates, cacao, and vanilla extract. You can even top it off with almond butter drizzle, chocolate drizzle, or honey drizzle, so it really feels like you’re at Ben and Jerry’s! While you’re there, you can pick up a freshly pressed juice, if you like!
3. Tatte Bakery and Café

Tatte is another amazing café to spend your Saturday indulging in delicious coffee, pastries, and sandwiches. They have an all-day menu, brunch menu, pastry and dessert menu, bread menu and even a gluten-friendly menu. This is probably the most modern bakery in Boston, in regards to gluten-free meals and desserts. Not to mention, the gorgeous interior design inside! From an avocado tartine to homemade shakshuka on gluten-free bread, you will definitely be satisfied leaving this amazing café! Now for the most important part, the desserts! They offer a Belgian chocolate mousse cake and a wide variety of other unique desserts, like Brownies, Pavlova, and so much more! They have seven locations across the city, which include Beacon Hill, Back Bay, and the Seaport! Tatte is a must-see for those looking for an authentic brunch, especially if you are gluten-free/vegetarian!
4. Flour Bakery

In my opinion, this is one of the most exciting locations in Boston on weekend mornings. Expect to see lots of families indulging in the most insane brunch, hand-crafted coffee, and homemade baked goods that look to die for. They have a wide variety of savory options, which include delicious gluten-free sandwiches and salads. My favorite is a classic gluten-free avocado toast with a perfectly cooked poached egg! They have an abundant amount of sweet treats that are gluten-free, like a caramel oreo cookie and a hazelnut almond dacquoise. They also have sweet treats that are gluten-free and vegan, like the power bar and almond macaroon. They have a whopping nine locations around the city, including the South End, Harvard Square, and Back Bay. This is a fantastic brunch option for a Saturday in the city!
5. Kanes donuts

If you are looking for an amazing donut, you must go to Kane’s! Now they don’t have both gluten-free and vegan options, but they do have donuts that are gluten free and dairy free! They use all local ingredients and are made fresh every morning. For those that don’t have a gluten allergy, they even have a seasonal menu, which can vary from honey blueberry pie to chocolate candy cane, and of course Boston Cream! The two flavors they offer that are gluten-free are chocolate and old fashioned, which both have a deliciously glossy glaze on top! They have two locations in New England- one in Saugus and one in the financial district in Boston. This is a great option if you are looking for an authentic, fresh, and unique donut, and it is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.
